Designed by Sparkman & Stephens, the Tartan 42 evolved from the successful Tartan 41 racing hull into a comfortable offshore cruising yacht. Her Scheel keel provides an ideal 5-foot draft for exploring destinations such as the Bahamas while maintaining excellent offshore performance. A substantial ballast ratio, large skeg, and moderate displacement provide outstanding directional stability, comfortable motion underway, and reassuring manners at anchor.

Under sail, Receta is responsive, balanced, and rewarding to helm.
